Happy New Year!

It’s 2015 and that time to reflect on the past year and set goals for the new.

I ran my first race in 2014 and went on to run two more. So, I ran two 5Ks and then one 5 mile. I ran a bit more quickly in the second 5K than I did in the first so that was good. When I ran the 5 mile race, that was the furthest I’ve ever run.

So for 2015 I figure I might as well keep going. I don’t have the desire to run long distances but I want to keep running the shorter races. I signed up for a relay team for the Akron Marathon next September. I think all of the phases for the race are a bit over five miles. It will be good to have a team to train with.

On the professional side of things, I quit my regular job in 2014 and began to work for my own business. My new company is WhitePoint Professionals. My goal for 2015 is to build my company so that I have a steady stream of business. Right now I’m working on getting the website developed and accounting details taken care of. More on this later.

So, it looks like 2015 will be a busier year than last year.

  1. Nice graphics on the logo! What inspired the name?

As for the athletic achievements, I’m really happy for you. It’s fantastic how you’ve attained goals you probably didn’t dream of a few years back. Congrats!!

    • I came up with the name WhitePoint Professionals by doing a naming exercise with a couple of friends. It took several hours to do but was fun.

The logo I had done through a contest on Crowdspring. That too was fun. I ended up being able to choose from lots of logos.

As for the athletic accomplishments, I never would have thought of doing half of these things but I’m really enjoying it.
